Crypto markets recovered into the Federal Reserve decision, with bitcoin climbing above $81,000 and several majors in the green. Beyond price action, the day’s biggest themes were institutional tokenization, stablecoin plumbing, and exchange security concerns.
Bitcoin and the broader market rebound
Bitcoin traded back above $81,000, with one report putting it above $81,400 as Asian chip stocks rallied and another noting BTC was rebuilding support near $80,000 ahead of the Fed decision. Market strength also lifted memecoins and other majors, including PEPE, HYPE, and ZEC. US spot Bitcoin ETFs added inflows, helping narrow October’s net outflows.

Tokenization and institutional blockchain adoption widen
Several traditional finance groups and market infrastructure firms expanded tokenization efforts. Mirae Asset Securities issued tokenized notes on Solana, Securitize added Stellar to its institutional tokenization stack, and Janus Henderson and Centrifuge launched a tokenized Nasdaq-100 fund on Stellar. Separately, Brazil’s Itaú Unibanco said it had formalized crypto brokerage and custody operations under new rules, and OKX-ICE’s tokenized stock trading plan drew objections from nearly half its original corporate roster.

Stablecoin rails and wallet design keep evolving
Ripple’s RLUSD received an A2 rating from Moody’s, which pointed to Treasury-heavy reserves while noting holders do not yet have direct ownership interest in those assets. On the infrastructure side, XRP Ledger developers proposed a wallet setup that would let companies cover reserve requirements for customer and AI-agent accounts so users could begin with stablecoins without first acquiring XRP. Robinhood also continued deepening its links with Ripple, with RLUSD already live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp and set to reach the Robinhood app later this year.
Security incidents hit exchanges and service providers
Bithumb said attackers accessed an internal employee system and it is still checking whether customer information was exposed; a separate report said the exchange was investigating a possible personal-data leak. Coinbase also disclosed that a breach at analytics vendor Amplitude affected a small subset of customers, though funds were not impacted. The reports came as Google previewed a custody security system using multi-party computation, with several major financial institutions testing it.
Crypto-linked corporate updates
Robinhood reported mixed quarterly results, missing earnings expectations while crypto revenue rose and prediction-market activity increased. Datavault AI also said it could not access bitcoin it held on Biconomy, prompting a large reported asset reduction and a sharp share drop. In a separate earnings-related note, Robinhood Chain enthusiasm appeared to rise after management messaging that supported the project.
